Protein bliss balls recipe

These yummy balls of goodness are one of my favourite snacks! Packed with nutrients, they are easy to make and can be made in bulk and kept in the freezer. High protein, low carbohydrate and full of superfoods they make a great afternoon snack when you are feeling like that little something sweet. Use this recipe as a base, but please play around and come up with your own combinations.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of LSA
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • ¼ cup crushed walnuts
  • ½ cup chia seeds
  • 2 tbsps acai powder
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • ¼ cup rice malt syrup
  • ¼ cup maca powder
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • 4 tbsp coconut oil

Method:

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl until well combined. Place a sheet of baking powder onto a metal tray. Using a dessert spoon, place balls of the mixture onto the plate. These may seem runny at the time, but will harden up once in the fridge. Once they set, enjoy! I suggest you leave some in the fridge and some in the freezer. They will turn to gooey when out of the fridge for too long (but I kind of like it this way).
